The first time we did this, the response was enthusiastic and overwhelmingly positive. The new CATs were able to ask representatives of past generations about their career paths and decisions, and how their experiences in the CAT helped them. Scheduling a second session for another batch of newcomers proved difficult with schedules and capricious Winter weather but we were finally able to get everything lined up for a meeting in March.
We were happy to have Kim Howard-Humphreys, Toby Peltier, Patrick Humphreys, Hanna Linder, Dennis Gilbert, and Mike Butry attend. Unlike the Braindump Orientations where the speakers have a limited amount of time to talk about their experiences, the panel discussion lasted hours and the informal setting allowed for probing questions and candid responses.
Our thanks to the speakers for their time and wisdom.
