Yes it’s that time of the year again! We’re excited to announce that the CAT is hosting it’s fourth CAT Barcamp unconference on October 7th.
What are Barcamps?
Barcamps are free unconferences with attendee run sessions which are volunteered for on the day of the conference. The spontaneity of the entire event stands in stark contrast to the more planned conferences you may have been to. Essentially the entire conference is a hallway track, and many people feel it’s the best quality of Barcamps!
The sessions at a Barcamp can be on various topics, from technology oriented dev ops to culture and everything in between. That being said, you don’t have to present at all. Attendees are free to come and just listen to others. There is no obligation or expectation for every participant to also be a presenter.

Who can Attend?
CAT Barcamp is not only for PSU students! Anyone who has an interest in being involved may attend. We have reached out to PSU students, student groups, student organizations, community groups and more. It’s a great way to network and meet new people from a variety of disciplines.
In the spirit of the Open Source Community Barcamps are free of charge. All we ask is that you register so that our planners have an idea of how many attendees to expect. How is the CAT Involved?
CAT Volunteers are organizing this event. From recruiting volunteers, searching for sponsors, securing the venue and taking care of all those details events are full of, our volunteers are dedicated to making this year’s CAT BarCamp the best yet!
